“Today is Today. But there are many Tomorrows.” – Dan Brown

When you read the words, “Today is Today”, it seems like an inspirational quote, that says something along the lines of whatever happened in the past, remains in the past and today is a new day, a restart to forget the past and to pick a new beginning.

But this quote of Dan Brown, “Today is Today. But there are many Tomorrows.” brings such a unique perspective to that thought itself.

The past takes its toll on us, but sometimes today itself becomes so heavy, that you don’t have the energy to even think of the past. What today brought with it, makes you harder to see tomorrow and whether you’d be able to carry on.

Today could have been a struggle. Today could have been the worst day of your life. Today could have brought a moment that would have made you question the why behind something or everything.

The quote is an interesting one, instead of it being a motivational one, that you read at the start of the day, to bring hope, it instead is a reality check, that you can read at the end of the day when all is over, the day’s end, that today is today, but there are many tomorrows. Tomorrows to make Today better. Tomorrows to try again. Tomorrows to have another go at it.

It pushes you for tomorrow, it pushes you to say when today ends, tomorrow there’s a new beginning, what couldn’t be done today can be again tried tomorrow. There are many tomorrows. Let today be gone.
