#ThrowbackStory #FirstStartUp #2014
During college, back in 2014, specialising in entrepreneurship and simultaneously studying a photography course led me to start a production firm called Shreyan Rohit Productions.
0% professional + 5% personal experience – having just studied the basics. However, this profession had an energy/ an aura around it that created this hunger inside me to accomplish something, and right now itself. #2014Thoughts
–
Long story short, approached Shreyan Ghosh, a college acquaintance at the time – also, a skilled, knowledgeable photographer wanting to grow into this field – and asked whether he’d like to partner up for such an idea (of doing this professionally). At first, both of us were hesitant – since we didn’t know how to proceed or even if we got the project in hand, how would we execute it.
–
However, as they say, you can achieve anything, once you set your mind towards it. For us, we only wanted to start and experience this field’s professional aspect – with no end goals in mind.
–
Fast forward to making 15+ videos and photo shoots – 5+ clients – hiring editors and photographers to help along the projects – creating the brand design with no knowledge of its know-how. In the end, this was a fantastic experience altogether – full of struggles and learning.
–
Somehow, late 2014, both of us drifted regarding the professional shoots – focusing at the end of our college year and ultimately, it came to an end.
If I had to travel back in time and modify one element of this journey, I wouldn’t change anything, because I loved all of it – every lesson we learned – every downfall we faced – all the firsts, whether it was creating a logo or approaching a client or mailing an invoice.
–
Shreyan Rohit Productions, the end.
Big shoutout to @shreyantito who was a part of this journey, along with me – what started as approaching an acquaintance to become a business partner ended up with us becoming brothers for life.
