The date is August 3, 2026

The date is August 3, 2026. 5 Years from Today. You imagine today is that day. Just visualize it!

Now, ask yourself the following questions…

Do you want to be mentally healthy?
Do you want to be physically healthy?
Do you want to be free of all ailments?
Do you want a positive voice in your head?
Do you want to have less anxiety and/or less stress?
Do you want to be satisfied or feel fulfilled in life?
Do you want to have fewer problems in your life?
Do you want to evolve to a higher version than what you were 5 years ago?

In order to say ‘YES‘ to those questions 5 years from today, the work for it starts TODAY.

Your today’s actions may not have an impact today, but they definitely have an impact ONE year from today, FIVE years from today, and TWENTY years from today.

The life you live today affects your future, no one else’s.

The three focus points of my life

The three focus points of my life

Mind. Body. Breath. The three most important aspects of our life. The three focus points of my life. Each of those areas plays an individual role in our lives. Moreover, in our lifetime, either beforehand or after, you have to start taking care or start paying attention to all those three areas. But here’s the important part, your mind, body, and breath play a role in each other’s areas as well. Your breath plays a part in the working of your mind and body. Your body plays a role in your mind and breath. Your breath plays a part in your mind and body. When one fails, all fail. When you work on one aspect, it has an impact on all three aspects.

Knowing that, understanding the advantages of working on those areas, understanding how those three aspects of our lives are interconnected, but also have an external impact on all areas of our life as well.

Whether it is how you live, how long you want to live, how well you want to live, what’s going on in your mind, is your mind well-fed, what is the voice inside your head telling you, how does your body regulate your energy, how often do the foods you eat cause a negative impact on your thoughts, on your day as well, how eating something nutritious immediately turns that scale, how is your breath affecting your actions, how is your food affecting your stress levels… These and more are questions that every individual should ask themselves… The sooner you start, the sooner you start seeing the results and the impact of these results on your life and the various external aspects of your life.

Mix all of this, with self-awareness, and I boiled down my life to three specific focus points and what do I need to about it, now, and how that affects my future. Thus, I focused on the following three areas… It took time, a lot of patience, and understanding, and experimentation, but eventually I realized the change once I started walking down that path.

1. I replaced the foods understanding their impact on my mind and body

2. I worked on the chemistry of my breath

3. I changed the voice in my head

All three individual areas of life, seem as if they don’t impact each other or the external aspects of our life, but they do, more than one can think of.
Replacing the foods helped not just my body, but also the health of my mind, and my breath. Working on my breath helped me realize how it impacts every moment of my life, how it impacts what I do in the very next moment, and how it’s signaling my emotions too. The voice in the head is the biggest work that can ever be done, one that is initially shaped by society’s prejudices, biases, and whatnot, and that’s how we grow up. But work on it, and that voice can become a positive, optimistic tone that helps you and pushes you to help others as well.

None of this has a destination though when you start working on it, it’s a lifetime work-in-progress, but every day you see the progress, and every tomorrow there’s an evolution waiting to happen.

90% of the things require just this…

90% of the things require just this…

Whether your professional or personal life, whether you’re thinking about your self or a goal that you want to achieve, or a task yet to be completed…

90% of the things that we do in life or that we would like to get done require just one thing…

Discipline.

Whether it is a project at hand or wanting to workout, or meditate, or if you’d like to cook or journal, anything and everything that you want to do, you can create plans for it, you can jot down the steps, you can find sources for inspiration and get motivated in the short-term, but eventually it all boils down to discipline.

Discipline is that self-generating power that keeps you going, that keeps you on your toes, that keeps you motivated even when the outcome isn’t in your favour, you don’t fail, but you keep going. You keep trying, but you don’t stop.

That’s the power of discipline. It doesn’t allow excuses, it doesn’t allow a setback, no external affairs can create a hindrance.

Said that, being disciplined isn’t an easy process for all. It takes time, it takes patience, and moreover the mindset to get that discipline going.

To get disciplined, you need a strong why behind you. A purpose. And self awareness. Mix the right ingredients in the right proportion and it gets you going. Don’t and it’s a matter of time before you aren’t able to continue for whatever reason and there and then you are thinking why did this not work out.

The Accountability Exercise

The Accountability Exercise

Humans blame. We all do. For the tiniest of things. Everything that doesn’t turn out the way we fantasized about, the blame of that goes to someone, another individual, a group of individuals, a corporation, a government, a country, a religion or something else.

We are designed this way over the years. We cannot accept responsibility. Because putting the blame on someone else makes it easier to explain to ourselves, it becomes easier to put the blame on someone else, now you’re not accountable for what happened, irrespective of your percentage of fault.

Now the other party will bear the blame (in your imagination), every time, whenever an outcome doesn’t turn out your way. For every micro and macro element of your life.

Here you don’t have any control, you’re constantly looking for excuses, you’re constantly on a hunt to blame people, and it becomes an automatic mechanism for you without you realizing doing it.

When that is realized, when you decide to take control of your life, when you decide you want to be accountable for everything that happens in your life, without depending on external factors… Then you start thinking of steps to head in that direction.

Therein comes the Accountability Exercise.

The Accountability Exercise, where after every moment where you slip out, start losing control of the situation, when the outcome doesn’t turn out your way, you step back for a moment and say to your yourself that you’re accountable for what is happening, it is entirely on you.

No one else is responsible for that. Except you. Everything is on you. You’re accountable for each and everything of your life.

It takes time to accept this. It comes with practice. You do it consciously until it replaces the already-existing mechanism stuck in your brain that lets you think that everything going wrong in your life is someone else’s fault.

A day without learning

A day without learning

For someone who is obsessed with learning,

To learn, not particularly academically, but any form of learning, especially with the amount of content available on the internet, via audio, video or text, one can learn anything and anywhere, whatever topic they’re interested in.

Not obsessed per se, but who particularly looks back at the end of the day and notices what they’ve learnt, what are the takeaways from those learnings,

For someone like that, a day without learning is noticeable like a snap of a finger.

What if the day goes by and you didn’t get the time to learn something new and add something to your reservoir of knowledge?

But can a day really go without learning?

There could have been an experience with something, a conversation with someone, a thought in your head, that made you think… That made you ideate more… That was something new to learn.

Can a day really go by without learning, if you are really looking forward to learning something new?

Filling the Silence

Filling the Silence

In order to escape the mind, we fill the silence with

– talking (more than usual)

– music (contextual) and/or consuming content in general

– activities that you don’t want to do

(or anything else that one might do to fill their silence)

Why do we do it though?

It’s only when we are scared of that silence. The deepest questions that you don’t think of lie in that silence. The answers you avoid lie in that silence. The truths you run away from lie in that silence.

Silence speaks volumes.

And that is why we run away from it. Because we don’t want to face it. That’s why we escape. Its feels better to escape your reality than to face it.

Facing it means to take action, to pause and look back, to accept your mistakes, to change your tomorrow, that requires change in thoughts and actions and that’s a lot of efforts.

Instead, we avoid the silence.

// i write about how to embrace this silence here.

The Me Time

The Me Time

Our time (during the day) is divided into a bunch of phases, which include

– your work time,

– your family/ friends/ relationships time,

– your escapism time,

– your chores (cleaning yourself, your house, paying your bills, those types of activities) time,

– and your ME time.

This ‘me time’ is an essential part of your life, day to day and macro, both. This me time is not for any other purpose or individual, but for yourself.

Whether you use this time to rejuvenate, to relax, to learn and grow, to heal, that is upto you. This time gives you the chance to focus, to look back, to look forward, to look within, to look outward. But this is the time which is solely used for you.

The things that you’re able to do during this time, and the outcome, or what you feel during, are things that cannot experience in your other phases nor can you mix it with them.

Like any other time spent on the other phases, your me time is equally important to your life.

Acting like the other person

Acting like the other person

When you act how another individual behaves with you, you may think you’ll do the same with them as well, but, on the contrary, what you’re doing is falling down to their level.

If the other individual is unkind to you, you cannot do the same to them, or else what’s even the structure of your values if you’re selective with them.

Instead, you need to maintain your level, your standards, and your values. Be how you want to be, irrespective of how others are to you. Instead of acting like the other person, act like you.

New Perspectives, Thoughts, and Phases of Life

New Perspectives, Thoughts, and Phases of Life

Every individual has multiple phases in their lives, one that they look back to and ponder upon, when a new one begins.

There’s a perspective attached to every phase, of how you perceive things and how you react and respond to them.

Now, your daily thoughts (which decide your actions and outcomes) are all based on that perspective.

If your perspective on a topic is limited to something and you have decided to not look beyond, your thoughts will be as limiting as that and ultimately, that particular phase of your life is then lived in that manner.

Only if you want to outgrow yourself, reach that next level, must you expand your perspective of looking at things, thinking upon them from a broader viewpoint.

Hence, your thoughts will widen as well and because of cause and effect will your phase of life get affected in a positive and evolving manner as well.

These three areas are correlated and have a cause and effect impact on each other. To improve one, you must work on the other and the process is cyclical, which is then repeated to every phase of your life.

I lost 15 kgs in 6 months

I lost 15 kgs in 6 months

I lost 15 kgs in 6 months.

How?

Not because I wanted to lose weight fast, but because I wanted to live a better lifestyle than before.

Not because I wanted to look good, but because I wanted to feel good and feel those fabulous internal benefits of working out.

Not because I starved myself or tried fad diets, but because I knew it’s time to get rid of those foods that have harmful effects on the mind and body, that may taste good in the moment, but have not-so-good effects in the future.

A simple tweak of knowing the why, rather than the what and how.

A simple tweak of enjoying the process than the outcome.

That’s it. And that brought results.

Stupidest of Questions

Stupidest of Questions

We aren’t taught or we aren’t applauded for asking questions. Rather, do what you’re told, follow the narrative that has been rolled, execute the actions blindfolded.

But, the people who seem smart to you, the people who are knowledgeable, the people who are experts in their fields, that is because they ask the stupidest of questions.

They don’t shy away from it, they don’t care what anyone else thinks. They are curious, they will ask. They want another perspective, they will ask.

Those who think their questions aren’t smart enough keep forming the right question to never ask it, keep being curious in their minds to never know more than they already do, keep thinking everyone else is smarter than them.

Don’t shy away from asking the stupidest of questions because that’s how you grow and evolve.

Others & You

Others & You

Others win in life. So do you.
Others make mistakes. So do you.
Others do something wrong. So do you.

In life, we are always ready to point fingers at someone else, blame someone else, compare with someone else, and we are just not ready to take a look at ourself.

What are you doing? What mistakes are you making? What good are you doing? For yourself and for others?

Instead of just talking and thinking of others, their success, their failure, their mistakes, their right and wrong, its time we step up and look at ourselves first.

Check whether we are doing right before correcting someone else. Check whether our behaviour is right, before correcting someone else’s.

Time and again, everytime it’s others this, others that. And it just never ends. Now its time for you and you alone.

Walking the path alone

Walking the path alone

Understanding who we are, what we truly want, or rather how do we want to live our lives, reflecting upon our choices and decisions and mistakes, learning from them, upgrading your life to a better version than before – all of it happens when you walk the path alone.

No one can save us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We must walk the path alone. – Buddha

Walking the path doesn’t mean to get rid of people around you, but it means that now you won’t rely on anyone for anything, won’t blame anyone for anything, take complete responsibility, know what’s in your control and accordingly focus on your life path and your journey ahead.

Then, it is us, ourselves, without any pressure, or society outlook, or without any comparisons or judgments or opinions, focusing on our life alone and focusing on making it better.

That happens when you walk the path alone.

Personal before Professional

Personal before Professional

We have been taught to always focus on our careers, on our professional side of life, the side that earns money and is able to buy things.

We are always chasing growth in that sector of life, trying to accomplishing our work goals.

Sometimes, we even make those work goals, our life goals, because we don’t know the difference.

That is how the system works, how the society works, no one questioned it, everyone just did the same thing, but in different ways.

Chasing professional goals is not wrong at all, it gives you motivation to do something but when it comes at the cost of personal growth, then it creates a problem.

When you are not in control of yourself, is when problems appear elsewhere in your life.

When you don’t know how to emotionally react, is when you hinder your exterior relationships as well as your relationship with yourself.

When you don’t know how your own voice in the head has come from, how will you separate yourself from what the society and their judgements say.

Personal comes before Professional.

Personal growth, first, focus on yourself first or simultaneously, and then let that impact every other area of your life.

Professional growth will create exterior success, but won’t affect personal growth. On the contrary, personal growth will create professional growth + inner success + inner peace + satisfaction.

Blaming Others vs Taking Accountability

Blaming Others vs Taking Accountability

What do the differences between the two look like – blaming others v taking accountability?

Blaming Others
– is easy
– allows you to shift every problem of yours onto others
– you’ve an excuse for every hardship you face, for everything that happens in your life
– you can now blame those around you, the technology, the government, the weather, you’ve a ton of options at your disposal.

vs

Taking Accountability
– is difficult
– now the onus is on you
– you’ve no one to blame, but be accountable for everything that you do and everything that happens to you
– irrespective of whether the outcome is in your favor or not
– allows more freedom and independence

Which side do you then choose?
The easier or the difficult one?

Some choices seem easy in life, until you realize its consequences on yourself and how it affects you short-term and long-term.

Without making Mistakes

Without making Mistakes

Is there a perfect life where you know everything you have to do, each and every step planned out, having known the outcome too, and you reach the destination as well?

Only someone with a time machine could’ve done this.

The life we live, cannot be lived, without making mistakes. It is an integral part of our lives, making us who we are.

Our growth, our changes, our success is all dependent on us making mistakes. Without it, how else would we get there?

That’s the magic of making mistakes that we don’t understand. Avoiding them brings a stagnation where we are then stuck at one point and not able to move forward, if we stop making mistakes.

If you take it personally…

If you take it personally…

Things happen to you time and again that you may have not asked for.

Whether it is failure, or frustration of not putting your all,

Whether it is constructive feedback, or just opinions of various people,

If you take it personally, then you may never get the chance to grow, to evolve and to improve.

In order for all of those things to happen, you have to accept everything that comes your way, without taking any of it personally and just filter through and use everything you can to your advantage.

Having the UNDO button in life?

Having the UNDO button in life?

How many of us have wished for an UNDO button in our lives?

Just press this button and reverse that decision, that choice you made, that moment you lived.

Only if you could change the outcome – which you wish to change because it didn’t match your expectations.

But, we forget in such a scenario, that it is our choices, our decisions, our experiences, our thought process that got us to this position.

Then why change it?

Instead, learn from it, understand what you made you choose that way, implement changes (if necessary) and move on instead of thinking about the past.

That moment is gone, what you can control is the present which affects your future as well.

Instead of thinking of a CTRL+Z let’s focus on a new button – CRTL+DO.

What is life teaching you?

What is life teaching you?

In every moment of your life, in every situation, in every instance, life teaches you something.

Only if you’re aware of what’s happening to you, can you be aware of these teachings.

These teachings can be in any phase of life, whether relationships, career, goals, finances, anything.

Teachings could be in the way of success or failure, there is a learning in both.

However, your ignorance and distractions can cause you to miss out on them, in turn missing out on your growth, your improvement, your evolution.

You live that moment of your life once, that particular learning happens once, if you learn from it, you can better yourself, if you miss it, it’s going to cost you and no one else.

Albeit if you’re aware, if you’re on the lookout for them, you can learn and understand and implement everything that life is trying to teach you; resulting in you becoming a better version of yourself.

Watch, Learn and…

Watch, Learn and…

We watch, we learn but we often forget the third part of the equation, which is more important than the other two.

How do we usually consume any information?

It’s either in the form of text, audio or video.

When we consume, and if it’s useful and adding value to our lives, then we reach the second part of the equation, i.e. we learn from it.

We learn the what, why, when and how.

So now that we have watched and learnt from it, let’s come to the third and the most important part of the equation.

And that is to implement it.

Implement that learning to our life.

Use it to our advantage.

Use that piece of information to make our life better, in whatever way we can.

Adding these factors together equal to you growing and evolving and eventually, becoming a better version of yourself.

Good for me, not for you.

Good for me, not for you.

The issue in today’s times, especially with the trolls and heated debates comes down to this, which no one talks about.

What’s good for me, may not be good for you.

This could literally be about anything in life. Not just social media, but mainly that because nowadays everything boils down to that.

Along with social media, in your group conversations, in your work calls, in a networking event, literally anywhere offline and online, there could be something that’s good for somebody and might not be good for you.

There’s something for everyone out there.

Tastes differ.

Mindsets differ.

Wants differ.

Everyone cannot like the same thing. That is simply not possible.

However, when an individual understands that this thing is not good for me, but its not universally bad, its just not for me. When that happens, things literally change, for you and for others around you.

When that viewpoint changes, even your perspective of looking at things change.

One might say this is so simple to understand and yet we ignore it, something so simple that will reduce the hate and the trolling and the negative voices offline and online…

“What’s good for me, may not be good for you.”

You decide your pace!

You decide your pace!

When it comes to personal decisions or professional decisions, when it is about your life, then it is you who decides your pace.

No one else, no one can.

No one has or can have that control.

Whether it is to walk or jog or sprint or even to catch your breath, you decide your pace.

That decision is completely up to you.

That is what your journey is about.

And when you decide your pace, you are accountable for whatever happens.

You could sprint and get tired in a while and your plan may not work out.

You could jog and sprint in between and jog again, be strategic with your process.

Or you could even wait for a while and catch your breath, not worrying about others’ jogs and sprints.

When this happens, irrespective of whatever happens in the future, you know that you had taken that decision which led to this. You decided the pace.

It could have been a hasty decision or it could be a well-planned decision, you may never know until the outcome is out.

However, irrespective of the outcome, that choice of pace will decide the now. It will decide how you operate now and whether you’re satisfied in the now or not.

I can’t tell you, it’s a secret!

I can’t tell you, it’s a secret!

How many times have you not shared something because you thought it should be hidden?

Because you thought only you should know it.

Because you thought if others find out, then it won’t be exclusive to you.

This is not just about “start-up ideas” or your goals with life.

This can also be about the thoughts you have, the answers you have to someone’s problems, the knowledge to help out someone else.

“I can’t tell you, it’s a secret” is usually the response in most people’s mind, if not said out loud.

However, the more you share, the more you receive.

The more you give, the more you’re able to learn as well. When you share your secrets, you get to improve and evolve to newer thoughts, better answers and more satisfaction than before.

Earlier, with keeping what you already knew, you thought this is it, this is the answer that I should keep to myself.

But, by not keeping it a secret, you allowed yourself to understand that there’s more to it than that, and now you can walk the path of the unknown where you learn more and improve faster than before.

And that happens when you reveal your secrets, when you share what you know.

Ultimately, in this process, you also get to help someone out there, and make it easier for them as well.

The journey of self-improvement is long

The journey of self-improvement is long

Can there be a timeline on self-improvement? Can there be a goal set for self-improvement?

In the shortest answer, I don’t think so.

Hear me out!

When you walk the path of improving yourself, firstly its the realization that comes too late, and then understanding the issues at hand and then improving at them.

Of course, it’s easy to write this than execute because the process is a long one.

However, once you start walking on this path of self-improvement, you might wonder how much time you should give to it and if there’s a specific goal that you should attach to the process, which once achieved, means you have achieved the process of self-improvement.

Well, not to burst the bubble, but it is one.

The journey of self-improvement is long, lifetime long. There is no specific target to achieve and there cannot be any time limit to it.

The more you improve, the more you change and the more you grow. The more you grow, the more you want to improve and the more you want to learn.

The process is a cyclical one and ultimately, the vision becomes to become better than yesterday, to become a better version of yourself.

You improve at one thing, then you want to pick up another aspect of your life to improve at, you work on it, but there are levels attached to it, so basically you’re levelling up time after time.

This is not meant to scare you at all, no that’s not the case. The intention is to make you aware of this so you don’t have the wrong expectations of the process.

It takes efforts, it takes time, and yet its the best thing that you could do with your life.

What if you already know it?

What if you already know it?

Do you think you know about something or multiple things and don’t need to know anything more about it?

When you hear something about it, the first thought that comes to your mind is that you already know it.

Is that a good sign?

That you already know it.

You don’t have to learn more about it then, is that right?

Well, if you look at it from a higher perspective, it comes down to this… When you know about something, either you’re the best at that certain something, you’re the go-to person for that.

If not, then you still have more to learn.

This thought that I already know it limits you from learning more, it limits you from improving yourself on that certain something, it limits you from exploring more and it limits your imagination.

What would be better, to learn more or to be stuck at a middle point where you feel you already know it?

Curiosity is good, exploration is good and to have a Mindset of constant learning is extremely beneficial for you and your mind as well.

Adapt Yourself!

Adapt Yourself!

Things never go according to plan!

There’s known and unforeseen circumstances that can change the trajectory of your plan!

The key is to adapt yourself to these situations!

Of course there’s no right way, but there’s no wrong way either!

You learn, you practice, you make mistakes, you evolve and eventually learn how to adapt yourself according to the circumstance at hand.

The bottom line is to adapt yourself!

What works?

What works?

What works for someone else might not work for me.

What works for me might not work for you.

The problem lies where we do something just because it worked for someone else.

What we fail to realize is that everyone’s paths are different, journeys are different, patterns are different.

Here in comes self-awareness.

When you become aware about yourself, you realize what truly works for you and what doesn’t too.

Then comes experimentations. Experiment with everything and know what works for you and what doesn’t.

It is then when you have tried everything and now know what works for you.

Then vs Now – What’s changed over time?

Then vs Now – What’s changed over time?

In this quest of understanding and becoming self aware about who I am, what my voice is, what my strengths and weaknesses are, how my thoughts amd actions affect me and others around me, how my habits affect me, I was in a retrospective mode thinking about all of these things.

Not just that, but who I was before, who I am now, the old me, the new me, how I have been able to pin point certain areas of my life that needed a change and then worked on it and yet, there’s so much more to work on.

This is the journey of self-improvement and everyday I’m grateful that I get to improve myself or at least become aware of what I need to improve one bit at a time.

However, doing just that made me create this list of my THEN vs NOW and what’s changed me over time.

Why am I sharing this with you?

Well, the more I learn, the more I want to share.

Not just my personal growth. But, how you can grow too, how you can improve too, how you can change your life too.

A list of such kind helps in showing that if I can change, then you can change too and if this can inspire you to take a step in that direction, then why not?

Self!

Self!

Self-growth, Self-improvement, Self-care, why is the word ‘Self’ added here?

What is the point that is being tried to communicate to you?

Until you don’t care about yourself, how will you take care of others around you?

Until you don’t improve yourself, how will you improve the life of others around you?

Until you don’t grow yourself, how will that growth happen outside and around you?

It all starts with you!

SELF.

The starting point is the only point where you have to become selfish in order to become selfless.

In order to serve others.

In order to have an impact on others.

In order to create change.

Self – that’s where it begins.

Lockdown Learnings

Lockdown Learnings

Over the past year or so, one of my main intentions has been to work on my habits, to introduce new ones, to evolve them over time and to get rid of the ones that don’t serve me any purpose.

Amongst many that literally changed me, this lock-down period allowed me to work on a few more that have been on my mind for a while or some that I didn’t think would be essential to me.

Here are some that I’ve been working on and constantly trying to improve them:

1. Daily Meditations

It allowed me to align my mind and my body, it made me more calmer, more peaceful, to let go of things, every time it’s a different experience.

2. Gadget-free Meals

To have meals without having the phone or laptop around you, without having to watch anything while eating. It first started with lunch and now dinner too, teaching me to be more mindful during meals.

3. Yoga

Whether its the suryanamaskars or some other asanas, the lockdown taught me that you can do so much without even going out. The daily growing experience and the impact on the body is immense.

4. Breath-work

The breathing exercises helps me in releasing more energy in the body, influences the blood circulation, thereby increasing the alkalinity and reducing the acidity in the body, plus changing various physiological responses

5. Cleanliness

Whether its the brooming and wiping, or the sanitisation of the items brought from outside, or the occasional cleaning of utensils and dusting, this time has made me more aware of cleanliness than ever.

How are you not curious?

How are you not curious?

How are you not curious anymore?

That’s what I would like to ask you today!

How are you not curious enough to question everything that you do?

How are you not curious enough to question everything that your life is conditioned to?

How are you not curious enough to question what the brands and marketers are selling you and you end up buying them?

How are you not curious enough to go beyond all of this and think of taking that step forward of questioning everything?

How are you not curious enough to ask how does life function?

Everything there is to know is out there.

All that is required is a tiny bit of curiosity from you.

That’s it.

Some curiosity, some questions, some research and you’ll have a well-garnished outcome of results that will change the way you think, the way you communicate, and the way life is.

I’ve been meditating daily for 60 days now!

I’ve been meditating daily for 60 days now!

Meditation was something that was on my mind for a while, but I could just never start doing it then.In the last year or so, I may have done a couple of them, including a sound healing meditation (which was quite impactful), but it didn’t get implemented as a part of my lifestyle.I always knew its advantages, I had heard people’s stories of how it had changed them but sometimes things happen according to their own timings and you can never force them. Then the lock-down happened. That was the time when things within me changed, my perspective changed on a lot of things, and as things aligned together, it was as if the universe wanted me to start meditating at this time.On the 30th of March, 2020 was the first day of this streak – and I must say that the first day was groundbreaking in itself. What I experienced was something I had never thought of.And then, day after day, different kinds of meditation happened and I explored more and more, and different things ticked off.I experienced moments in my life which aren’t a part of my conscious thinking, I experienced my life from a different perspective, I started looking at things differently, I visualized different chapters of my life, different settings that changed the behavior in me.To share in detail, what it does to you, here’s how I see it -Simply put, it helps you to align your mind and your body and be still. It allows you to silence your thoughts and just be, not thinking about the next task, not thinking about your worries etcIt allows you to focus on your breathing patterns – which thus helps in relaxation, more energy, more calmness, more peace. It brings inner peace within you.It allows you to let go of things that hold you back.It also helps in visualization of memories, goals, conversations, nature – whatever you want it to be.There’s a lot that can be done.Meditation then and now, is a whole different experience for me, such an essential part of life that is again never taught to us in the way we live.To experience this, you have to take that leap and change your life is how I see it.And there’s just advantages to it.Today will be Day 63, to be technically right and I look forward to my meditation time now, more than anything.

3 Life Lessons to learn from the game ‘Ludo’

3 Life Lessons to learn from the game ‘Ludo’

If there was one thing apart from livestreaming and video conferencing that got popular (again) was playing Ludo.

Whether it’s the board game or the mobile game, whether its playing with family or with friends, Ludo has become that bonding game for many during this lockdown.

Said that, I’ve had my share of games with the family, and playing these many times with some wins and some really bad losses got me thinking…

There are quite a few Life Lessons too that the game teaches us!

  • You can’t give up until the game is over

How many times has it happened that the other player/s are way ahead and about to win, and there are times when, because you didn’t give up, because you were a worthy competitor playing until the end, you actually won too.

Same applies to life as well, when you’ve set your mind to something, you shouldn’t and you probably wouldn’t give up until you can’t do it anymore, but until then you won’t give up.

You will keep going, no matter what the circumstances are and no matter how much life wants to test you.

  • Just because you’re ahead doesn’t mean you’ve won

In the above scenario, you’re on the other side of the equation where you are the underdog. Here, you’re the one who’s boasting that you’re about to win.

How many times has it happened that you were leading, just the last piece remaining about to enter the final segment of the journey and someone gets you out. And that becomes the turning point of the game.

When it comes to life, doesn’t the same happen? When you’re ahead, when you’re winning, you feel there is no other and it’s just you, going forward with overconfidence – but then life gets in the way and says that you haven’t won yet.

It shows that one needs to be careful and smart until the end, know what’s going around and not to celebrate until it’s happened.

  • You need to be strategic with your moves

Another important thing that the game teaches us is how to be strategic in the game and in life.

In the game, you need to know when to play the different pieces, whether you should take the chance to cut someone else or save the other piece about to enter the save zone, but is currently in danger.

Just like in life, where you need to be strategic with your moves. You need to be aware of your surroundings and play your moves accordingly. Know which move is aggressive, which one needs to be monitored and move forward accordingly.

I’m sure if you break down the game, there could be some other things to learn too, some smaller in impact maybe. However, these are those life-changing lessons that I could think of, while playing of course.

Ready to ‘Zazz Your Life?’

Ready to ‘Zazz Your Life?’

We are now @zazzyourlife on Instagram, previously Live The Zazz Life.

What’s the mission?

We want you to take the control of your life in your hands, instead of being dependent on anyone else to provide the answers.

We want you to ZAZZ your life on your own!

What do we mean by zazz?
Well, it’s making your life more unique and awesome than before.

How do we do that?
By changing how we think, how we communicate, how we react, our habits, our goals, our purpose, how to upgrade yourself to a better version, what to eat, what to drink, what not to do and the why behind everything.

Once we learn this and once we learn to rewire our brain, we upgrade ourselves to a better and improved version of ourselves than before. That is adding the zazz to our life.

Not to forget, only you can do it. Nobody else. Not us, surely. We are just the medium in this equation.

So, are you ready to zazz your life?
Embark on this new journey with us.

It’d be deeply appreciated if you would also share our page with your loved ones so all of us can then grow together in this journey.

Later.

Later.

When you tell yourself, that I’ll do this ‘later’, what are you actually telling yourself?

In simple terms, it means that you don’t want to do that something right now and you’ll do it at a later point of time.

Although, if you break it down, it means, that certain something isn’t a priority for you to take care of it right now.

Well, in that terms, what is the priority of that thing on a scale of 1 – 5? 1 being the highest and 5 being the lowest.

Well, if its anything beyond a 3, then the probability of you taking on that thing at a later point of time seems unlikely.

A simple reason is because, one, its not that important to you, second, on a day-to-day basis or a weekly basis, there will be something that is going to replace things on the priority scale of 1 and 2.

On the basis of which, things beyond 3 aren’t going to be taken care of at all.

What’s the alternative?

Either take on only one or two things at a time, so there’s no point of pushing something to ‘later’.

Or being well-organized to a point that you complete that entire list of 1 – 5, irrespective of how many other tasks or things come on to your plate.

Every human is different

Every human is different

Every human being, irrespective of their caste, creed, age, sex and DNA, are different.

In terms of what?

Their journeys.

Their goals.

Their thoughts.

Their emotions.

Their problems.

Their accomplishments.

Literally, everything is different for everyone.

Then why is it that one compares them with someone else, one aspires to be like someone else, one says I’m just not like the other person.

How are these things even possible when every human on this planet is different from each other.

Each unique in their own way.

The system doesn’t work that way because the system won’t be able to operate if everyone started thinking that way and that’s the problem we don’t realize.

However, if there’s one takeaway from this, that we should take for the rest of our lives is this…

Every human is different.

Stumbling upon

Stumbling upon

Until you don’t stumble upon the path of self-improvement, you never know you needed to improve.

Until you don’t stumble upon the path of positivity, you never know you needed it.

Until you don’t stumble upon the path of growth, you never know you wanted to grow.

This is such an interesting game of choice and chance.

Sometimes you stumble upon something by chance, and sometimes by choice.

Either ways, if you get the chance to stumble upon it, appreciate it.

It’s a path that you always wanted to walk on, but never knew you wanted to.

There’s always eyes on you

There’s always eyes on you

You know what?

Whatever you do,

However you do it,

Whether you succeed or fail,

Whether you know the answers or not,

There’s always eyes on you.

Someone or everyone is watching you.

So, will you let that bother you or will you do what you want and enjoy those eyes on you?

Observe

Observe

That’s my super power.

Observing patterns, behaviors, reactions and everything else.

Everything around me!

When you observe, you’re able to learn a lot more, in more detail than usual.

The power of an observation allows you to perceive who people are, what the system is all about, reading between the lines, seeing beyond the black and white of the usual.

I’m not sure if it’s something that can be learned or it comes naturally, but I do know this, if you start observing a tiny bit more than usual, you’ll start noticing things a whole lot differently and eventually, your perspective could surely change.

Constant Learning

Constant Learning

Our learning doesn’t end at schools and colleges, on the contrary, its never-ending.

Whether it’s a conscious choice or not, one is constantly learning, in some form or the other, everyday.

Consciously, the learning could be in the form of audio, video or text consumption or through conversations or when you walk on uncharted territory.

Subconsciously, learning happens through mistakes or through experiences – in your personal and professional lives.

Nonetheless, the bottom line is one is constantly learning everyday.

Whether by choice or not.

P. S. By choice is always better because you get to control and upgrade yourself on your own terms, rather through things happening in your life which aren’t in your control at all.

This learning, of all kinds, leads to growth in your life. The growth which leads to a different version of yours than before.

Whether a better version or not, depends on your perspective.

Don’t be too hard on yourself

Don’t be too hard on yourself

Plans change.

Goals change.

Thoughts change.

Behaviors change.

When you walk that path of upgrading yourself, a lot of things start changing in your life.

Although, on this path, sometimes things don’t work out too.

It happens.

No one is perfect.

At such a point in life, remember to not be too hard on yourself.

Because, that makes it worse.

That will make you more negative.

Accept that sometimes things are out of your control or it was not meant to be.

That is (one of) the lesson(s) you learn when you walk upon the path of self-improvement.

De-clutter In and Out

De-clutter In and Out

When you actually take the time out and take a look at your surroundings (your personal space, your work space, your wardrobe, your house) and at the same time, a look within yourself too, you’ll notice that there’s a lot of clutter around.

That cluttering leads to congestion of space which hinders the space for freshness and growth.

An unarranged pile of papers or books has an effect on your thoughts and ideas and execution too.

An unarranged pile of clothes, an unfolded bedsheet, an untidy home has an effect on the positive thoughts that you’re trying to attract.

When you de-clutter your exterior surroundings, it gives you the organized space needed for your growth. The cleanliness leads to clean thoughts within you. The openness leads to more ideas within you.

Although, it doesn’t end there.

What more is needed, is a de-clutter within yourself too. Once the exterior is done, then its time to work on the interior. The negative thoughts, the toxic thoughts, the comparisons, the ego, the arrogance, the discouraging opinions is all a part of the de-clutter.

The in-and-out de-clutter leads to a positive space around you and within you – a space for more positivity, for more confidence, for more growth, for more ideas and for more execution too.

#TimeToDeclutter

Don’t feel guilty!

Don’t feel guilty!

This time that we have, can be used productively! It can be used for our self-growth, both personally and professionally! And with so much time in our hands, we can do a lot, literally a lot, that couldn’t be done before.

However, this is what I want you to know.

Don’t feel guilty if you wanted to have a productive day and you couldn’t.

Don’t feel guilty if you had prepared a lot of tasks for the day and you couldn’t complete them.

Don’t feel guilty if you wanted to take a day or two days or three days break and just cool off.

It’s when we started feeling worse about ourselves, is when things go wrong. It becomes negative.

Those negative thoughts tend to become a voice inside your head for everything.

I realized this and wanted to convey the same for anyone reading this and trying to make the most of the lockdown that is going on.

Don’t feel guilty!

This time will not come again!

This time will not come again!

I understand that this is a uncertain time, we’re facing an invisible enemy, lives are at stake.

I understand the fact that a lot of brave people from different sectors have put themselves at risk out there, in order to keep us safe.

I understand that a lot of people are working from home.

Today’s post is for those who are at home and aren’t able to work from home, due to various reasons and even for those working from home, who are able to get some extra time than usual.

This time will not come again!

Hear me out!

One, we obviously hope that such a time doesn’t come again, because technically it’s not a good time, and we all know that!

At the same time…

Never before has anyone got so much time in abundance, in their hands, ever, that they could use this to an advantage.

Advantage, how?

Well, you’ve always taken the time to work, to socialize, to relax, to watch a movie, but never for your self-care.

It was always brought down to, “I don’t have time for this”.

However, there are no excuses now.

You’ve all the time you need, to work on your inner peace, to work on your mindset, to work on your thoughts, to work on your habits, to work on your voice.

(If you want to know what do I mean by voice, hit me up on my Instagram – @rth24)

Why would you want to waste this time and not use it to your advantage?

A life-changing advantage?

People crave for this time, people are not able to get out of their day-to-day lives for this time, but you have it.

I can only bring this awareness to you, the choice is always up to you, the choice to change for the better, is always up to you. I, of course cannot force it up on you, but at least I can make you aware of it.

This time will not come again!

You are always in control.

You are always in control.

You’re always in control of your thoughts, your actions, your behaviour, your emotions, your habits, your goals and your happiness.

There’s always an external factor in play, an external factor – at times bigger than you and your life.

Can you let it influence you or your thoughts or your emotions?

Once you set the baseline, that I’m the one in control of my thoughts, then no external factor can influence your thought process.

That same logic is then applied to your emotions, your habits, more importantly, to your happiness as well.

How do you be in control?

With practice. Understanding the difference when you are in control and when you are not.

Understanding the factors that bring the change in you.

Pushing yourself everytime you notice that change.

That requires self-awareness as well as the will power that you do want to do so.

The power to bring change comes from within.

It’s always up to you, and remember that you’re always in control.

Current ‘Distractions’

Current ‘Distractions’

During this time of self-isolation, you have a choice

You can either continue to distract yourself with activities that keep you distracted,

Continue to keep you distracted? Haven’t we always been distracted in our day-to-day lives, whether its social responsibilities, work/home responsibilities, financial responsibilities?

And now? Well, there is that eagerness to just spend time somehow, on your smartphone, on your TV, consuming content, watching movies/ shows, playing games, one activity after another just so we can be physically and mentally distracted.

OR you have another choice…

You can choose this time to explore yourself, your mind, your true needs and wants, your true goals and aspirations, learn to control your thoughts, learn to control your emotions, learn to control your mind.

It seems like a burden, but its not. Its a choice to redefine your entire life, its a choice to take the path to change your life, its a choice to get out of the program that we’re in.

Program? We are always in a program, a program to do something – a task or anything, and then shift to another one. And every program is operated in a certain way, that is done in the same manner by everyone. Wouldn’t you want to get out of it and see things differently?

When you evolve and your perspective changes, you want to see others upgrade as well, you want to see others evolve, you want to see everyone grow too, for them to realize their potential, maybe that’s the reason for my constant push of working on yourself.

A common level of Humanity!

A common level of Humanity!

How majority of humans used to behave, almost until a month back to now everyone being the same – more or less, and hopefully we make these changes a part of our life, instead of it just being a temporary phase of life.

Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons, don’t you think so?

No more materialistic comparisons,

no more competition,

no more ego,

doesn’t matter who you are,

doesn’t matter how rich or poor you are,

Life has brought everyone to a common level of humanity, where everyone wants to just stay alive.

Everyone is fighting together and wants to come out of this together.

This level of humanity should be appreciated and should be taken forward as well, because when we walk together, we grow together and we can tackle our problems together!

The time of Self-Improvement!

The time of Self-Improvement!

Have you ever focused on
– your thoughts?
– your habits?
– your ideas?
– your goals?
– your food habits?
– your hobbies?
– the content you consume?
– your mental and physical exercise?
– practicing gratitude?
– the skills you want to learn?

One would usually say, they are busy with the hustle and bustle of their life, i.e. work, that they don’t have time for all these things.

Ain’t that the truth?

Well, with the time of social distancing and self-isolation, also came the time of

Self-Improvement

Yes, you read that right, this is a better time than ever, to improve yourself.

In your day-to-day life, along with work, you’re also surrounded with stress, worries, deadlines and over-thinking.

Guess what? Poof, none of that is following for the most of you. Agreed?

Why not use this time then to answer those questions above and more that you’d have on your mind?

Why not make a list of items that you’ve always wanted to do to work on your inner self?

This is a time you have, where can work on these things and not get distracted by anything else.

It might only change you for the better, and create a better life path for you, you never know!

#SelfImprovement

This is the best time to self-audit!

This is the best time to self-audit!

During this phase of self-isolation, when people have nothing but time and patience with them, there has never been a perfect set-up to audit yourself.

What do I think about?

What are my habits?

Where does my time usually go, in my day to day life?

How much time do I spend on my smartphone?

Where is my life at, right now?

Am I satisfied with my mental/ physical/ financial/ work life?

Can I better my finance process?

Is there something I can change to move forward in my work life?

Is my mind where I want it to be or is it hurting me more?

Do I usually eat the right type of food that should be put in my body?

Am I better than what I was yesterday?

This is the time to ask yourself these questions and with ample time in your hands, you can think about it, find answers within yourself and make the necessary changes.

How to make those changes?

Well, you have time and absolutely no need for shortcuts to make long-term changes.

You can learn, you can experiment, you can research, you can listen to the experts in the particular field (wherever you’re having problems).

You can pave the path ahead for you, yourself.

However, the choice to do so, is in your hands.

This is the best time to self-audit.

Kind is the new Cool.

Kind is the new Cool.

A while back, what was cool? Having an attitude defined coolness; being popular defined coolness; being better than others felt cool.

It was a perceptive reality we lived in.

However, especially with the rise of social media and communication becoming easier than ever amongst individuals from all over the world, also led to the rise in the talk of mental health.

Which was good.

However, along with mental health, also the talk of values and beliefs and the baseline of what it means to be a good human. Amongst other important values, it brought kindness to the limelight, where people who were kind never thought it is something to be spoken about and the ones who didn’t understand its implementation in their lives now saw a difference between their current perception and the difference kindness brings in theirs and the lives of the people around them.

What is cool now?

Well, simply put, Kindness is the new Cool.

If you’re kind towards yourself, if you’re kind with your deeds and words, if you’re kind towards others, you’re cool.

What To Do in Self-Isolation?

What To Do in Self-Isolation?

Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, a lot of the people out there, would willingly or unwillingly, be in self-isolation.

Self-isolation does not mean you’ve got the virus, but it also serves as a beforehand precautionary measure.

However, people’s day-to-day lives have always been surrounded with being in the office, for most part of their days. Now, with self-isolation, and if you’re working from home or not, it’s more than obvious that you’d end up wondering what to do with your days now.

Sure, you’d end up spending it on leisurely activities, such as watching films or tv series/ surfing the internet, but you don’t know how long the isolation may continue and how long would those same activities interest you.

Through this blog post, I want to send a different kind of a message, for the people out there, with what can you do in self-isolation (now or anytime later, in life too).

Self-isolation is quite a beautiful time in our lives, sure the timing of it may not be right at the moment, but, in general terms, for sure.

It’s a time which can be used to reflect upon yourself, know what you’re doing right, how has the past been for you, what steps can you take to change your future.

It’s a time to retrospect, to learn, to grow, to build yourself, to upgrade your skills, and also, at the same time, to relax, to chill, to calm your mind, to calm yourself, to get away from everything else in life.

This time of self-isolation, is for your mind.

You have the choice to use it wisely, every step you take decides whether that time is spent in an enjoyable manner or not.

Here’s a list of things you can do/ work on (if you’re ready to spend this time on yourself) –

A. Meditate

Any and all kinds of meditation, is good for you. Meditation can be done in various forms, and you can do it anyhow you want,

In the form of music, a walk, swimming, driving around, reading – it has been found that different activities can introduce a different meditative vibe within you – so whatever you feel is right for you.

However, the basic form, that we all know of, and the best way to meditate is to sit in an upright position, close your eyes, and focus. Focus on keeping your mind silent for a while. Focus on what your mind tells you at this time. Focus on what the body tells you at this time.

You can start with a few minutes and build it up from there.

B. Read

Another essential way of building yourself, your skillset, your mind is to read. The power of reading has innumerable advantages, but the key is to pick a genre/ style of writing which interests you. Pick a book which will bring value to you, which will make you think differently – once you start, you can build that habit as you read and in no time, it’ll become a part of your day.

C. Upgrade Your Skills

You can use this time of self-isolation to also upgrade your skills. There are courses, lessons, guides on the internet, that you can use at your disposal to strengthen yourself.

If you find a certain field of interest fascinating, if you want to build up on a certain skill, if you want to level up, you can spend that time on doing so.

It is, at the end, up to you, to schedule your day in a way, that can help you grow in every aspect of life.

D. Practice Gratitude

One of the most important things in life, is to practice gratitude. It is something that has to be practiced by yourself, every day, every hour, it is something that you have to feel.

With the power of gratitude, you learn to enjoy life for what it is, you learn the importance of life, you learn to enjoy the minute things in life, you learn to enjoy the process and everything that you do.

It is something that we often forget amidst the race of life. However, once you start spending the self-isolation time wisely, you then start to enjoy the beauty of life.

E. Practice Journaling

When you work on self-growth, another important element of that process is Journaling.

Not everyone is able to observe their life – their day from a non-judgemental point of view, that is the time when this wondrous activity comes into play.

When you write about your day, about your routine, about your process, your goals, your vision, you’re able to introspect your life in a way you haven’t able to before.

It gives you a different perspective, a different thought process, you then get a glimpse of your life and when you make those necessary changes on paper, you feel the power to do so practically as well.

That power is also felt when you constantly write about what you want and are then able to convert that written energy into bringing it to life.

F. Eat Food that’s good for the mind and the body

When you’re by yourself, when you are in complete power of choosing what you want to eat, when you feel every bite of what you eat – with time, you become conscious of your eating habits.

You tend to realize what is good for you, what isn’t. Whether that food is an asset for your body or a liability.

With self-isolation, also comes this consciousness – which is again lost, in the race of life. When this happens, you start making the right decisions in life, and also with your eating habits.

You now want to eat what’s good for you, for your body, for your mind. You will ultimately make the right choices, you don’t need anyone to tell you what’s right to eat and what’s not.

G. Limit your Smartphone Usage

By now, if you’re following all the pointers, you’ll know the importance of self-consciousness, self-growth and how that time is then consumed for other activities.

One of them is the smartphone usage, used for different purposes, but mostly for entertainment. Now the question arises, how much of that usage is bringing value to you.

Whether that usage of content is helping you grow, or whether that short phase of contentment is enough to trump long-term happiness.

That question and this thought process is enough for you to understand how would you like to use your smartphones and what kind of changes are you now looking to make.

H. Consume news for information, not absorption

Another important element, which happens when you’re by yourself, is the consumption of news.

The explanation is to be up-to-date with everything that is going on.

The problem arises, when instead of consuming that information, you get absorbed by it. You let it sway your emotions, your thoughts and now your actions or words are defined by what the news sources tell you. You are not in control.

The working of the news sector depends on views, and the more controversial they make it, the better for them. What we, as consumers, fail to realize that it is also playing with our minds, our thoughts and our actions.

The better way is to, just consume it and not get absorbed by it. Again, this is better said than done – but with practice and mindfulness, you can then differentiate between the two processes.

//

These are some of the ways where self-isolation can do wonders for you, you can use it to your advantage and help grow yourself and your life.

Sure, these things sound serious at first, but when you make it a part of your life, they seem extremely enjoyable and obviously, beneficial to you as well.

However, its not always about working on yourself and working on your self-growth.

That alone time can be used for different purposes as well, as long as you balance your time properly.

//

You can use your time on watching some good movies and tv series out there, it sounds a bit ironical to what was said above, but if you watch the good ones, there’s a lot of value addition as well.

Plus, entertainment is entertainment. The key is to be conscious with your time management and not forget what time it is, with non-valuable time-consuming activities.

//

Before I end, let me also take this opportunity to highlight another important factor for a lot of you, who will be reading this.

If you aren’t content/ satisfied with your day-to-day, you can also take advantage of this self-isolation time in building your side hustle.

A side hustle which interests you, which you feel passionate about and take this time to learn about it, to build it, work on it and ultimately introduce it to the market.

//

Without realizing the importance of self-isolation, most of us generally see it as, “Oh, we can’t do this, we can’t do that”.

However, once you realize its advantages, you then know how you can make it work for yourself.

Sure, I’ll say this again, the timing of this forced self-isolation (due to coronavirus) may not be right – but, you can use it to your advantage.

Once things become alright, instead of getting back to the running around lifestyle from before, you can still use this self-isolation time then and use it for your benefit.

–x–

P. S. If you’re happy with where you are in life, with what you do, you can continue to do. This post is for those who want to learn, grow, be happy in life altogether, not just at work and are not able to turn things around, with the way their life is currently running.

9 out of 10.

9 out of 10.

We work; we try; we experiment; we fail; we succeed; we learn.

Although, do you know what happens?

9 out of 10 times things may not happen the way we expected it to.

And that’s okay!

That’s the beauty of life!

Life doesn’t give you always what you wanted…

However,

It’s that one time when you succeed, you get what you wanted, you reach your expectations.

That’s the one you got to remember.

That one pushes you to try another 10 times, out of which, yet again 9 out of 10 times things might not go your way.

Our Mind is so Unique

Our Mind is so Unique

Our mind is so unique and can be used for hundreds of thousands of different things!

We control it.

We can use it to our advantage.

Everything that we do, in our life, in our day, all begins from the mind.

You tell your mind what you want to do next, and it does that for you.

Be it controlling your body functions for a certain task to controlling your thoughts to focus on a specific topic.

Everything begins from the mind.

We shouldn’t let it overpower us; but we should overpower it – use it a tool to live life, to enjoy life, to be happy in life, to grow in life. Its all linked with the mind.

Focus!

Negative Moments in the Micro

Negative Moments in the Micro

We all face negative moments in the micro!

Yes, we all do!

No one has a perfect life! Don’t even have that illusion!

Now that we have that cleared up, these minute negative moments during the day could happen due to various reasons.

Usually, because things didn’t turn out the way we expected and now we’re in dismay!

Although, here’s the issue.

When these minute, different moments build up, they make you feel that you can’t do this, you can’t do that.

Because of such thoughts, the other results in the day-to-day overturn too.

It’s a cause and effect scenario here!

These moments, ultimately, lead to a loss in confidence.

Resulting in macro negatives in life.

However…

How can you not let this happen?

How can you change the process?

Well, you can’t stop the thoughts or the moments from happening. It’s a part of life.

However, what you can do is, nip it in the bud.

What does that mean?

When that first negative moment happens, either as a thought or an action or a moment, you cannot let it affect your life.

Sure, you can retrospect about it.

But, don’t let it bother your mind.

Don’t let it overshadow your day.

Don’t let it overcome the positive things happening in your life.

At these times, you overpower these situations with positivity.

That’s the answer.

Perspective – Gratitude – Empathy are the answers.

Sure, it’s easier said than done. But, practice makes it perfect.

One day at a time.

Nonetheless, negative moments do happen, all you can do is tackle them the right way and see the greener side of the grass.

Enjoying It?

Enjoying It?

No matter what you do, at the moment, in life – micro or macro, the bottom line always comes down to this one point — are you enjoying it?

Are you enjoying doing what you’re doing? That goal? That task? That work? That lifestyle? That relationship?

That one question is applied to everything in life.

Are you enjoying it?

See the Good.

See the Good.

Good things happen in our lives and some not so good things happen in our lives.

Depends on how you define not so good, could be with respect to your day, your year, your work, your relationships, or just life in general.

However, the choice to see the good is ours.

See the good that has happened in our lives.

Until now!

And what will continue to happen in the future!

See the good in living another day!

See the good in being physically and mentally fit.

See the good in continuously getting opportunities in our lives.

See the good that you have your family and loved ones around you.

There’s so much good in your life that you can continue to list them down.

However, it is up to you to see the good.

When you see the positive, good things happen in your life as well.

Simple as that.

The choice is yours!

See the good.

Not all days are the same.

Not all days are the same.

Not all the days are the same?
Do you agree?

Even though you execute day in-day out, even though you approach the day positively…

There are times when you won’t get the expected results from that day

There are days with such downs

There are times when you don’t feel the push

That’s natural

That’s bound to happen!

1. You have to accept that such things happen

2. Instead of taking it negatively, what you can do is, to approach the next day more positively, because you can make the next day better.

3. When you’re in love with the process, then such days don’t affect you much, because ultimately, you’re doing something that you like to do.

The Game Of Life #Part1

The Game Of Life #Part1

In the limitless number of thoughts that I have on a day-to-day basis; one of those thoughts resonated with the fact that life is nothing but a game, which you play and your choices and decisions lead to how you play that game and whether you’re good at it or not.

Thus, #TheGameOfLife

Thinking about life, I pen down my thoughts that relate with this and thus as you can notice below are a few that I think can change how we live life.

It’s a Good Day to have a Good Day!

It’s a Good Day to have a Good Day!

It’s A Good Day to have a Good Day!

That’s how you should approach your day!

That’s how you should approach your life!

No matter how the day’s events have unfolded, the mindset is that it’s such a good day to start having a good day!

When you change your perspective, when you change your thought process, things start changing!

Now you have a positive approach towards your day!

Sure, that’s micro, but that’s what leads to a macro positive approach as well.

With this thought process, you will feel good, irrespective of a few certain events which might have made it otherwise.

Above all, it’s always a good day when you get to live another day, ain’t it!?

What’s the Hype?

What’s the Hype?

Have you noticed, a few percent of people hype up a certain task or an item or a deed, to an extent where it spreads and spreads and now, from the mass perspective you either follow the trend or have the fear of missing out?

That’s the game of hype.

People don’t notice whether whatever is hyped is something they needed or wanted… But, if everyone is following it, then why should we miss out seems to become the general consensus.

Well, to be fair, sometimes, the hype is around good things towards which it becomes easier to get the following, usually in case of a cause.

However, more often than not, it isn’t. Thus, calling out the game.

The sooner people realize what they need or want and how they should distinguish that from the hype around everything, the better.

Instead of falling in the traps, it’d become so much easier to be decisive about everything once you know who you are.

#WhatsTheHype

Do what you feel needs to be done!

Do what you feel needs to be done!

Sometimes you have something on your mind that you want to do

Could be a small task or a hobby you want to pursue or a goal you want to achieve… A career path you want to change… Can be anything

Although sometimes you worry!

Worry about what others will think!

Worry about what others will say!

Sometimes it’s the worry when people around you tell you to do something, which you don’t want to do in the first place

However…

At the risk of all these before and after scenarios, we can do only one thing!

Do what you feel that needs to be done!

As simple as that!

Without worrying about the pre and post scenarios of that something, especially with regards to others.

Worry Less, Smile More

Worry Less, Smile More

Seconds turn into minutes and minutes into hours and just like that, the day is over.

A better part of that day is spent in worrying either about the past decisions or about future plans.

There’s just too much unnecessary worrying which takes place in our day-to-day.

In this chaos, what we forget is to smile! ☺

A smile to show our appreciation towards our day.

A smile to show our love towards our close ones.

A smile to everything that we could accomplish today.

A smile to live another day.

So why not live in the moment, think about the now, worry less and smile more.

After all, the more we smile, the more happy do we feel.

#WorryLessSmileMore

Be Honest!

Be Honest!

Be Honest…

To whom?

To others, of course. That is a given!

But, first…

You, yourself.

You need to be honest with yourself first.

If you aren’t, well, things start going off the rail thereon.

You know yourself better than anyone else would.

You know what you want. What you don’t. What you enjoy. What you don’t. Who you enjoy it with. With whom you don’t.

These answers lie within you.

The key is to be honest with yourself.

“A happy life consists in tranquillity of mind.” — Cicero.

We must find the calmness we desire within ourselves.

Yes, within ourselves.

In our minds!

How can we do that?

Well, we can use different processes as a catalyst to reach that point.

It could be walking in a park, meditating, listening to music, gazing at the sky, travelling somewhere, relaxing with the ocean as a view or anything else that gives you that composure.

You know where you’d have that peace of mind.

That peace of mind is long-term, not temporary, so think of a catalyst which you can rely on from time to time.

Once you have understood this calmness, once you have felt it, once you know the catalyst, then comes practice.

Practice keeping your mind at ease; in every easy and difficult situations.

That’s how the growth in life happens!

“Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.” — Wayne W. Dyer.

Sharing your goals with others!

Sharing your goals with others!

What have you heard about sharing your goals with others?

Well, let me tell you what the “society” says.

Don’t share them with anyone. Keep it to yourself.

To think of it, why is it said so?

Because someone else will do it before you?

Because someone having this knowledge will hinder your progress?

Well, my thoughts resonate the other way round. I don’t think that the world should work like this.

I’m all-in about sharing your goals with others.

Why do I think so?

Firstly, at times, your goals and ambitions are not clearly defined. When you share, you end up talking about it more and more.

Because of this, you tend to understand more clearly what you want to do, why do you want to it and you’re able to streamline the process more easily.

Secondly, the more you share, two things tend to happen – one, people start supporting you and pushing you more towards achieving it.

This also leads to real-time support too, in the form of partnerships and collaborations, which wouldn’t have happened organically in the first place.

More importantly, if your goal is something worth achieving and you share the journey behind it, others also get inspired to set a goal for themselves.

In my opinion, everyone should share their goals – be open about it – if you’re confident with what you’re doing and more importantly, why you’re doing it, then neither anyone else nor you should have any problems with it.

You know your Truth!

You know your Truth!

What’s your truth?

Only you know that.

No one else.

No one can.

A few people in your life have a 90% access to your life, for some it is 75%, for some it is 50% and for a lot more it’s less than that.

You know what that means?

No one knows you better than you, yourself.

People can speculate

People can judge

People can question

But none have a clear idea whatsoever.

They don’t care about your reasons or your explanations either…

So why waste time explaining anything!

It’s better to realize that…

No one but myself knows my truth

And I have to live with that.

Too Many Questions???

Too Many Questions???

Have you noticed…

No matter what you do…

No matter when you do…

No matter how you do…

Before or After…

Everyone around you have a lot of questions to ask!

These questions never end.

After a while, they just seem annoying at the most. That doesn’t matter though, because the questions never end.

And they are asked by everyone! Literally, everyone.

They could be out of genuine love and care

OR

Out of curiosity

OR

Out of jealousy

OR

Out of wanting to implement something for themselves

OR

There could a hundred reasons here!

The bottom line is, the questions never end.

What can you do then?

Well,

How about trying to ignore this noise and just concentrating on your journey!?

Seems difficult, but I’m sure, with practice, it can be done.

Do what you feel needs to be done, without worrying what the others think or ask or tell you to do!

And to those asking the questions?

Try focusing on yourself first, before focusing on others.

You are the Driver!

You are the Driver!

Quite often, we think what the future holds for us!

We have all done that, haven’t we?

Does that make sense though?

You are the Driver of your Life!

You drive your life to wherever you want to go, the destination may not be important, but the journey surely is.

The future holds nothing for you – you hold your future in your hands.

Your thoughts,

Your actions,

Your needs

Will drive the vehicle of your life to the future you create.

There’s nothing that will happen automatically for you, if you don’t do something about it first.

Now the question, whether you are a good driver or not, is another question in itself.

However, you’re the driver, that’s the truth.

Valuing what you have!

Valuing what you have!

Have you noticed something? There’s so much that we do, in our day-to-day lives, that we almost don’t realize the importance of so many of those things.

It’s always the same scenario – looking at the bigger picture, and looking at what’s bigger than what we currently have and then chasing that.

We don’t value the important things because we take it for granted. This doesn’t apply to just things, but to people, our friends, family, the work we do, the stuff we have, the food we eat, everything.

We realize the importance of the minute things when we don’t have them.

Having a Mindset like this also results in something like this – you’re always chasing, running after the next thing and not enjoying what you currently have. You’re not able to cherish that moment.

If you change that, then you’ll be happy now, with what you have, who you have and what you’re able to do.

Try valuing what you have, and realize it’s importance before its too late.

Do you deserve my time?

Do you deserve my time?

Ask yourself this question, when someone wants your time and you wonder, is it worth it?

With everything that you have and you don’t have yet, your asset is your time.

Your time’s valuable.

You can spend it wisely where you think it’ll be worth spending.

That time is spent on your growth, on your goals, with your loved ones. In the midst of this, you don’t want to unnecessarily spend your time where you don’t want to, right?

That’s the question you should keep asking yourself and that’s the topic of today’s blog post – Do you deserve my time?

When you’re spending your time on a task, on a job at hand, on a futuristic goal, whether someone is asking for your time or you spend it with someone – Does that thing or person deserve my time?

If yes, then you’ve already won that moment because you know you’re spending it wisely.

If the answer is no, you need to start working on it. You need to think of alternatives; what can you differently, how can you get rid of that task, how can you not meet that person, how can you cut your time with whom it’s not worth spending that time.

These are important questions – the ones that will make a difference in your life. For the good!

Think about it! #LiveTheZazzLife

Talk Less, Listen More

Talk Less, Listen More

There’s a very odd noticeable scenario, something we are all a part of, where we listen to someone, just to reply and let them know our opinions on the topic.

The problem is we have stopped listening!

Instead of learning from the other person, instead of understanding their perspective, it’s more of stating our opinions.

Why is that? Why?

What needs to change is this, become more involved in the conversation that you’re having, listen to them and ask further questions, instead of simply talking more!

Is that a change that we can apply to our lives? Absolutely.

#TalkLess #ListenMore

Life is about experimentations!

Life is about experimentations!

Life is about experimentations, from one thing to another, whether you know it or not, it’s all about experimentations!

You never know what will work and what will not, you never know what might interest you and what might not.

There’s never a pre-defined answer for anything, there’s only a pre-conceived notion which is cleared after you experiment and find the answer on your own.

With life, you can never just stick with one thing – you might agree, it gets boring. Experimenting to find out new things, to grow, to evolve is the only solution.

#KeepExperimenting

For the Game!

For the Game!

When you do something, because you love doing it, because you love the process, then you’re doing it for the game.

The results don’t matter to you, either in case of an accomplishment or failure.

It’s a very contextual statement, in either of the scenarios, you still do that something and try to improve or pivot in order to keep moving forward.

Whilst walking on this path, you feel happier, more satisfied and fulfilled – because you love the game – it’s very simple.

#ForTheGame

Has it become a habit?

Has it become a habit?

In life, some habits are good for us and some are not. Some bring value to us and some just drain us.

Sometimes, just repeating a thought or something you say or something you do automatically becomes a habit without you even realizing it.

But, what can you do?

Evaluate yourself at the end of the day – what did you do, why did you do it and is that being done repeatedly?

When you notice something becoming a habit, take a step back and evaluate whether it is impacting your life positively or negatively.

Its difficult at first, but once you learn to understand the difference, then you’re game.

How to find your Passion?

How to find your Passion?

Time and again, the question of your passion turns up, either in your mind or during your conversations.

What is my passion?

How do I answer whether I am passionate about this?

Most of the times, one’s not able to clearly state the answer for these questions.

The answer’s simple, yet complicated at the same time. Before we go on to find passion, I also think that there’s never just one thing when it comes to being passionate about something – there could be – but, usually there’s more.

Before you answer these questions for yourself, also understand to not limit yourself to just one thing and think this is my passion.

Life is about experimentations; you never know what strikes how and what doesn’t.

Coming back to finding passion, let’s define how any human being can tell what they’re passionate about.

Let’s break it down into the following categories :

A. Strengths

Usually, we list down what our strengths are and what are weaknesses are, and depending on that, we usually pick the strengths because we are good at those things, and follow that course and simultaneously improve ourselves at it too.

B. Love

Do you love doing that thing? Do you feel like you could do it all day, every day? Do you feel if you didn’t take a vacation or worked on weekends too, would it feel the same?

C. It’s Not Work

If there is ever a feeling that it feels like work and that there is a life beyond it too, then probably its not the same. On the other hand, if you feel it’s a part of your life, then you can immerse yourself into it and enjoy the process like how.

D. Retirement and Money out of the Picture

Most important of all points, to define passion and to realize if it’s truly your passion or not, take “retirement” and “money” out of the picture, would you still do it?

—x—

If you can answer/relate to all of the above pointers, you can then define what you’re truly passionate about and whether what you think is your passion or not.

Now what you can do is, correlate these questions with whatever you’re doing now, and see if you’re able to answer for yourself or not. The answer is within you and no one can help you out with it except you.

The Value of Kindness

The Value of Kindness

What’s the value of a kind gesture?

It takes zero efforts to say something kind to another person – short, easy to speak and it’s not taking anything from you.

Yet, one kind gesture brings immense pleasure to the other person – you have just made their day, their month and you wouldn’t even realize it.

It might just be something that the person needed. Its impact would truly last a lifetime.

Be kind, spread kindness and witness the magic! ❤️

#KindnessOverEverything #KindnessKarma

Do you wear shoes?

Do you wear shoes?

You know the thing about shoes, right?

All of us wear shoes, but the difference is that we wear different pair of shoes – different sizes, different designs, different brands and of course, comfort is different for all.

What does that tell you though?

Can you wear the same shoes as mine? What if it doesn’t fit you though?

In the same way, our journeys are different too – our paths are different, our goals are different, our thoughts are different and that’s the beauty of life.

When everything is different, there’s no reason as to why anyone’s journey or anyone’s accomplishments should be compared with someone else.

Let’s try focusing on wearing our shoes for once and not comparing them with someone else’s.

Communication is the Medium, not the Solution!

Communication is the Medium, not the Solution!

In any conversation which turns to a argument, one always thinks they are right.

However, we forget something!

What’s wrong for you is right for someone else and vice versa.

That means, both the parties think they are right, in their own way. So how do you solve this conundrum?

Is communication the solution for such a scenario? Would communicating the right way solve that issue?

In my opinion, communication is the medium to solve that situation, but the solution is empathy.

Without having empathy for the other person, there would be no two-way communication but only monologues and arguments.

Empathy is the key, which is often forgotten but needs to be instilled as values so – during such times of communication issues, you always think about the other person first, and react to the situation accordingly!

#empathy

What is success for you?

What is success for you?

What is success for you? That is for you to decide.

Let’s put it another way – what are your goals? What do you want to achieve?

Wouldn’t you feel successful when you accomplish your goals? Yet, our “society” bases success on the achievement of a few things and everyone follows that blindly.

That isn’t a problem at all – but, only when you actually want those things for yourself and if that’s the benchmark you’ve set for yourself.

The awareness of the reality of success is important and once you change the perspective on the topic, you start thinking differently.

What’s Next?

What’s Next?

What’s Next? The question on our minds, at every point of time, no matter what we are doing.

This isn’t just about work, it involves everything we do, every day.

While we are doing something, we are constantly thinking, what are we going to do next!? 👀

You see the problem, right? In this quest for what’s next, we aren’t enjoying the present moment at all, we aren’t enjoying the process of whatever we are doing.

I realized this, and now I want to make amends. I want to feel this moment, I want to enjoy it and remember it.

Your voice vs Other voices

Your voice vs Other voices

At any given point in time, there are various voices in your head – all saying different things.

However, only one out of all those voices is your own.

Difficult to understand what that means?

With the constant opinions and questions that we are surrounded with, the voices of our family, friends, society, colleagues – ultimately becomes our voice and we tend to forget what we want and what we are doing based on what someone else wants.

The difference is key, because what you actually want is also what’s going to make you happy!

Learning the difference will take time, but the awareness about it is important – Learn to know what your voice sounds like and only listen to it.

Pessimism v Optimism

Pessimism v Optimism

Why did William Jones say, “Pessimism leads to weakness, optimism to power”? What does it mean?

When you feel pessimistic in a situation, or towards something you want to do, you have already lost hope, you’ve already set a result in your mind which is surrounded with self-doubt. Before you’ve even started, you have given in already.

On the other hand, when you feel optimistic, when you feel positive, when you see it as half glass full, you’ve hope, you’ve the desire, no matter the circumstances, you will walk on the path you’ve set in your mind – now, that’s power.

That power comes from your thought, your hope, your desire, which was missing in the first scenario – which made you weak.

Simply put, when you feel/think pessimistic, it makes you weak and when you feel/think positive, it gives you power even before you’ve started.

Difference between Feedback and Opinions

Difference between Feedback and Opinions

In either of the two scenarios, whether you’re starting out on social media or whether you already have a good audience, there are times when people stumble upon certain opinions which hinders their mental state and their progress.

At such times, it’s important to know the difference between feedback and opinions.

What’s Feedback?
– information about reactions to a product, a person’s performance of a task, etc. which is used as a basis for improvement.

What’s an opinion?
– a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

The difference between the two matters and it also affects you and your growth.

Many a times, we let certain opinions define us, define our work and makes us question whether we should proceed or not – these opinions aren’t substantial enough for some change to take place – quite often, they’re out of spite, being envious or simply seeking attention.

Feedback on the other hand, improves you as a creator. Feedback has its voice, it has its reasoning – it matters – it makes you put in more effort so you can grow and make necessary changes, if needed.

As a creator, or anyone creating on social media, one should learn to know the difference between the two and act according to the situations.

It is important for you, as an individual, to not let anything disturb your state of mind whilst your goal is to provide value to the very same people.

Choosing between a positive or a negative thought?

Choosing between a positive or a negative thought?

If you had a choice, what would you pick – a positive thought or a negative thought? The answer seems easy, right?

Even though you know what you’d pick, even though you understand the depth, the potential behind a positive thought, yet in our day-to-day, we let the negative thoughts take over our day.

It could be super basic from frustrations of the traffic to reaching late at the office to getting cream on your coffee (when you didn’t ask for it), it could be anything and everything. Of course, these are only the basic scenarios and it only gets worse.

We don’t have control over our thoughts, over our emotions. And that’s why, the negativity takes over. The tiredness, the frustrations, the stress, not getting results – all stems from that.

A single post like this can only bring awareness about this, not the solution – but, what can be done is this – initially, after every action or every thought – call yourself out and check whether that thought or action was positive or negative! A simple exercise like this could do wonders for you and you wouldn’t imagine how!

❤️

Change starts with You

Change starts with You

Everyone wants to change the world, everyone wants to leave a mark, yet we forget about our own flaws and the dire need to rectify those first.

Change starts with yourself first, keep growing, keep upgrading yourself to a better version of yourself, better than before – until you reach a level where you can now bring that change to others as well.

That process takes time, but it also comes from authenticity and the courage to first do it yourself before you do it for others.

In simple terms, walk the talk.

Ikigai – the Japanese secret to a long and happy life (Book Review)

Ikigai – the Japanese secret to a long and happy life (Book Review)

Usually in the midst of reading a book, I’ve already chosen the next one to read and a similar situation occurred with this one, where I’d decided to read this one, books in advance.

Written by Hector García and Francesc Miralles, Ikigai is a brilliant read, based on a Japanese concept to living a long and happy life.

In the most basis terms, Ikigai is about finding something that you love, that also makes you happy, that is also commercially viable and that has a market for it. Well, it’s not all about professionalism, but applied to your personal life and doing something everyday so your day is occupied with things you like to do.

However, to understand our life, especially from the work point of view, Ikigai is an excellent concept to apply and learn the answers we were looking for.

When you’re happy, when you love what you’re doing, you’re able to do it on a daily basis and for an endless amount of time – the more happy you are, the more fulfilled you feel, and the longer you’re able to live with no boredom/ emptiness / hollow feelings to think about. The concept of retirement doesn’t exist in Ikigai, because if you aren’t doing anything, then what are you doing with your life.

Well, if you’re looking for answers, especially from a different perspective than what is seen or taught in the West, then you should definitely pick this one up and understand life from a different angle to what you’re originally living.

The book is a definite gamechanger, if you want it to be. #RTHReviews

What do you love?

What do you love?

What is it that you love to do?

Anything in which you find happiness?

Anything in which you find peace?

Anything in which you find satisfaction?

Do that.

There’s no restrictions with what you can do or with what you should do – you should never ever settle!

Push beyond your limits – but, do the things you love.

Then, it doesn’t feel like work, it’s a purpose that you’re able to deliver on a daily basis – and there’s never a better feeling in life.

Why wouldn’t you want to do that?

There’s always a way!

There’s always a way!

What’s on your mind?

Do you want a change physically, mentally or emotionally?
Do you want to change your path?
Do you want to change your circle?
Do you want to pursue your dreams?

Find A Way.

There’s always a way, even when you think that all the doors are closed around you. There’s always a way – you just have to find it.

Know what you are looking for – do you really want it – if yes, a way shall definitely appear. You have to be vigilant enough to grab that opportunity when it arises.

However, don’t stop – don’t compromise – that’s not the answer. Keep going, keep hunting for the path – you’ll find your way!

What’s the most important thing in life?

What’s the most important thing in life?

The most important thing in your life is to be yourself.

Being yourself keeps you authentic, keeps you self-aware about who you are and what do you want, and more importantly, keeps you happy.

Through the platform of Social Media, people are creating a different image of themselves, flossing, flaunting just to impress others, and to create that social image.

In reality, being miserable because they don’t know who they are anymore.

Being yourself keeps you sane, keeps you real and keeps you trustful.

You are unique in your own way, your characteristics are your strengths and they define who you are – instead of faking emotions in the virtual or the real world, face who you are and be proud of who you are.

The journey or the destination?

The journey or the destination?

When you focus on the road ahead, the journey always seems longer than usual. Your mind is filled with doubts and you tend to question your steps.

On the other hand, when you focus on how far you’ve come from before, it fills you with positivity and optimism, you see it as a stepping stone.

That’s what the life’s journey is about – you always go forward – you want to rise higher than before – be better than before – and it’s a step by step process.

Everytime you tend to realize how far you’ve come, but when you think of the future and how unpredictable it is, it makes you anxious though.

“Always focus on how far you’ve come, not how far you have to go.”

What do I mean by ‘Becoming a better version of yourself’?

What do I mean by ‘Becoming a better version of yourself’?

To become a better version of yourself means you have to grow/ you have to level up – and, for that to happen, you need to change / you need to learn / you need to have a growth mindset.

If you think you know it all, if you think you don’t have to learn anything anymore, if you have a fixed mindset, then how do you think you’re going to reach the next level of your life.

The concept is simple, the process is everlasting, however, you come out of it as a better person everytime!

Quite honestly, that should be the daily goal and we’re setting that for ourselves, not for anyone else, because only we are going to benefit from that mentality. #ActOnIt

Ruler of Your Destiny!

Ruler of Your Destiny!

You are the ruler of your destiny – you get to decide when do you want to start your journey, or if you’d like to change your paths and begin the journey for another dream.

Goals change, dreams change, people change.

What if you were doing something for a long time and suddenly you decide that your interests lie elsewhere.

Does the “society” stop you from doing that?

There’s no age limits as to when one should start, when one can change their plans, when one can start planning a new dream and focusing on that.

As C. S. Lewis has said, “You’re never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream”.

Whatever makes you happy, you do that – doesn’t matter how young or old you are – there are no society benchmarks to conquer.

Why is failure looked down upon by the Society?

Why is failure looked down upon by the Society?

Why is failure looked down upon by the “society”?

Failure makes us who we are – it makes us grow and improve as a better version of yourself – it makes us learn from our mistakes – it upgrades us to a new level.

Without failure, we wouldn’t grow to a higher level – we wouldn’t feel accomplished if we hadn’t failed in the first place.

That’s the beauty of failure – a few people get to experience it – but without it, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Then, why is it looked down upon – it shouldn’t be – we should we proud to have experienced it – because it was necessary to overcome it to become who we are.

Pondering over the Past

Pondering over the Past

1 Day
24 Hours
1440 minutes

Imagine how much of this time is spent by you thinking about the past.

About your past decisions, about the steps taken, how you would’ve done something differently.

Its so easy to think about all of this – it’s easy because you can only waste your time thinking about it, you cannot change anything.

That wasted time is taking time out of your present, and that pondering over isn’t letting you decide your present and your future.

“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.” – Will Rogers

What’s gone is gone, let’s focus on today, let’s focus on making tomorrow better, let’s focus on making the changes that we can make today that will form our future and also be grateful for every decision previously taken, that has brought us to where we are today.

Everything requires Practice!

Everything requires Practice!

I legit sucked at writing anything. My marks in school clearly defined that. Whether it came to writing a formal letter to our School Principal or caption writing for the clients, it was difficult to cope with, every time.

However, when I knew what to write, along with a lot of practice and mistakes, you can improve at anything and I improved at this.

After 250+ blog posts, various articles and ‘n’ number of posts created on my various profiles, I’ve finally overcome it.

Next on my list is to overcome my fear of looking at the camera lens and speaking!

All you require is a bit of confidence, practice and not to look at others and get worried with what they are doing! Also, remember that they started way before you did.

Is there anything that’s on your mind?

It always seems impossible to others!

It always seems impossible to others!

Whether you have a vision for the future, or you have set a massive goal for yourself, or you’re doing anything out of the ordinary – it always seems a bit difficult at first, in your head.

But, do you know that it always seems impossible in other people’s minds – very rarely would you get a supportive opinion, in situations like these.

Usually, its statements like, “it’s not possible at all” or “why are you wasting your time on this?”

As Nelson Mandela clearly states, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.”

It’s only when the job is done, when the mission is accomplished, does it seem possible to others.

Always remember that you need to have that will-power, that mindset, that hunger within you to get it done – you cannot expect it from others.

You do you!

Understanding the importance of Mindset

Understanding the importance of Mindset

“The mind is everything. What you think you become.” – Buddha

Mindset is Everything.
Whether it’s your routine, or your work, or your personal life, or your goals, your dreams, everything revolves around your mindset.

You need to have the right kind of mindset to move forward in life, to set the right rhythm amongst all the phases of your life, to be happy/ satisfied.

That process starts from your thoughts. Your thoughts define everything in your life.

What you think, how you think, why you think – its all important – it sets the baseline – it defines your actions and your executions.

Ultimately, you become what you think.

Which is why it’s said that you need to have control of your mind, control of your thoughts, control of that thought structure – Mindset is the most important thing in your life.

Dreams – have you forgotten yours?

Dreams – have you forgotten yours?

All of us have dreams, some achieve them, some are in the process of achieving it and some forget about them!

Let’s discuss those who have forgotten their dreams and let’s question the why.

Why have some of those people forgotten their dreams?

Why have they just let it go?

Did they try and fail and then let it go? – That scenario isn’t bad, it’s good on the contrary – that you tried.

If you just let it go – was it because
• you weren’t confident with yourself
• you didn’t get enough support
• people would have judged you had you failed
• parental pressure of getting into something else

Yes, there are situations, there are circumstances that one may not avoid – sometimes one is forced – but those who persist, and fight for their dreams, feel more satisfied than if they hadn’t.

All dreams are achievable.

Even if the end goal isn’t achieved for some reason, the process is just as beautiful. Plus you’re happy with no regrets – that you tried – you followed your dreams.

Then why wouldn’t you?

Our imperfections make us who we are!

Our imperfections make us who we are!

“What makes you different or weird—that’s your strength.” – Meryl Streep

Everyone’s chasing to be perfect, without realizing that perfect doesn’t exist.

What makes us, humans, different from each other, and at the same time, makes us unique, are our imperfections!

Those imperfections that make us” different” or “weird” is actually our strength – then why should we change it.

It makes us unique in our own way.

Love them! Cherish them! Flaunt them!

Know thy imperfections – because those make you perfect in your own way! ❤️
