We, individually, all of us have a lot of issues, in life, even on a day-to-day basis. However, those issues get aggravated because of a lack of our vocabulary.
Our mind is powering through the words we think, the words we speak and how we describe our emotions, our feelings, the mind will start thinking in that way.
Because of a lack of vocabulary skills, for example, when we have to describe how our day went, we typically address our emotions as ‘good’, ‘bad’, ‘okay’, or ‘meh’.
Not being able to address our emotions properly, we ourselves have no clarity of how we feel and we end up with a different emotion altogether, thinking that’s how we feel at the moment.
I first understood this from Jay Shetty and then ended up digging up more into this. Harvard has done a ton of research on this topic, you can check out one of them here.
Said that, have a look at this chart below. The number of emotion variants that exist in each category, and how we can feel a bunch of emotions throughout the day and we never even end up realizing them.

You’ll thus get more clarity and a better understanding of how you feel, and what you can do to change or address that emotion of that moment.
